About myself
I'm located in Marshfield, WI, right in the center of the state. I chose Lakola because it's the Lakota word for friendship. I named it after my first show rabbit (Dutch), Kola's Chowaku (friend's perfect gift).
I got back into rabbits in 2011, deciding on the Harlequins. Marked breeds are my favorites. Harlequins are especially nice because the markings don't have to be perfect to do well. My goal at the moment is clear color and solid bodies. I think the better the color is, the better the markings will look. Being that Harlequins are a commercial breed and I do use them for that purpose, I also want good solid bodies. I keep some with good markings but if I have a rabbit with a great body and color, that one will stay as well.
I also have Rhinelanders in both colors and working on chocolate, Britannia Petites in BEW and agouti, Checkered Giants, and the recent addition of Harlequin Dutch. Plus my Icelandic and Marans chickens.

News:
Due to a new baby, showing and transport will limited. If things calm down, I might go to a couple of fall shows. I'm going to spend the rest of the year breeding and culling hard, getting ready for the next show season.
Reserve in show at Antigo on 6/16/2018 with Lakola's Mission Protocol!
